ADMISSIONS

ADULT/NON-TRADITIONAL STUDENTS

High school graduates
If you have not attended a college or university since completing high school—or if you have completed fewer than 12 college credit hours—you must submit your high school transcript and ACT scores.

All new freshman applicants, regardless of age or nontraditional status, should take the ACT and have official test results forwarded to K-State. Your test results are also used by advisors when they help you select appropriate classes.

If you have taken the SAT, K-State will substitute your SAT results to make admissions decisions.

GED graduates
Adults who have completed the GED rather than the traditional high school diploma are considered for admission if the high school work they completed was of good quality and if their ACT results show promise of collegiate success. Students should submit official GED results, official ACT scores, and a copy of their partial high school transcript.

Adult transfer students
If you have attended college before at an institution other than K-State, you might be a transfer student depending on the number of college credit hours you've completed.
If you have completed fewer than 24 college credits, you may have to meet additional requirements—such as submitting high school records and standardized test scores—before you are admitted.
