K-State at Salina takes pride in being one of the few university flight training programs to offer rotary wing flight training through a partnership with industry leader, Universal Helicopters.
Whether you are interested in a few flights, helicopter transition training, or all of your flight certificates in a helicopter, Universal Helicopters experienced flight instruction staff has the ability to train according to your needs.
The helicopter fleet consists of two Robinson R22 Beta IIs and one Robinson R44 Raven II. K-State students can earn all of their ratings and certifications in a helicopter, if they so choose.
This is an excellent time to come to K-State Salina. The partnership with UHI has provided for expanded course offerings and increased opportunities in classrooms and cockpits. This is also a great opportunity for veterans wanting to use the GI Bill to pursue a career in helicopter aviation.
