UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS (UAS) COORDINATOR K-State at Salina’s Aviation Dept. seeks an Unmanned Aerial Systems Coordinator. This position coordinates all activity related to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) under the guidance of the Aviation Dept. Head. Essential Functions:
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s of Science in Aviation or technically related field, FAA Certified or Military Pilot with at least 100 hours of flight time or experience working with UAV’s directly or indirectly. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team player with diverse faculty, students, staff. and public. Ability to keep pace with a rapidly growing industry. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a technical field, FAA issued Airframe and Power Plant Certificates, experience in operating unmanned vehicles. Terms of Employment: This is a full-time, twelve-month term position based on the continuing availability of funding. Some evenings and weekends are required.
