EXCEL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Excel Corporation is proud to offer financial assistance to help eligible students complete their education. The EXCEL/K-State Salina Partnership program covers the cost of a student’s tuition, books, housing (on-campus only) and supplies for students enrolled in the Associates Degree program in Mechanical Engineering Technology who agree to work for the Excel Corporation during their course of study and for two full years after graduation.

The Partnership provides monetary support provided that the recipient remains with Excel and is employed on a full-time basis for two full years. If the recipient does not work for Excel for that period of time, the Partnership requires that the student begin repaying the monetary support received immediately after graduation from the two-year program.

Eligibility for the KSU/EXCEL Corporation Scholarship

• Are enrolled in the MET program at Kansas State University-Salina
• Have a composite score of 21 on the ACT and a 2.5 high school grade point average
• Maintain a “C” average
• Apply for the K-State Salina/EXCEL Partnership Program and be selected by the Scholarship Committee
• Student must agree to the obligations set forth by Excel as well as the terms of the loan

Program Procedures

• Apply and be admitted to K-State Salina under the MET curriculum code
• Fill-out a K-State Scholarship application and indicate interest in the EXCEL Corporation Partnership Program
• Awards will be distributed annually and sponsored by various plants
• The K-State Scholarship Committee will notify recipients in the spring prior to the start of the fall semester
• The student will be responsible for providing EXCEL with his/her grades upon the completion of each semester
