The Cessna Foundation, Wichita, has made a commitment of $250,000 to the KSU Foundation to endow the Cessna Leadership Scholarship, in recognition of the Cessna Aircraft company. The scholarship was established to assist outstanding junior or senior students in their quest for excellence. This scholarship, which is available to students in aviation maintenance or pilot curricula, is configured to provide financial assistance so that students can complete additional training to enhance their abilities and provide tomorrow's leaders for the aviation industry.  Specifically, the scholarship would help cover the turboprop or jet transition course for pilot students and the costs to complete the bachelor degree program or private pilot license for aviation maintenance students.

The Cessna Foundation has also made a $20,000 commitment to an existing expendable scholarship fund within the College of Aviation and Technology.
