Graduate Creates Fund for College of Technology and Aviation
MANHATTAN, KAN Ñ Linda Ferguson Haller, Eden Prairie, Minn., has made a commitment of $15,000 to the Kansas State University Foundation to establish the Linda Ferguson Haller Fund for Excellence.
The purpose of the fund is to provide
financial assistance to the College of Technology and Aviation in Salina.
Haller graduated from Kansas State
University in 1994 with a bachelorÕs degree in management. She is a member of
Presidents Club, a leadership organization for friends and alumni of K-State.
ÒA gift, such as that of Linda Ferguson
Haller, allows the college to focus on providing opportunities for achievement
outside the scope of allocated state funds. For example, student team competitions
often require students to raise their own funds or pay from their own
resources. As educational costs continue to rise, many students cannot
participate in these opportunities simply because of other financial
obligations. Financial assistance provided by individuals such as Linda provide
opportunities that allow students to reach for excellence,Ó said Dennis
Kuhlman, dean of the College of Technology and Aviation.
