The national competition will take place in Kansas City May 21-23. “It’s really exciting for our chapter because this is the first year we’ve really had a lot of success in competition, plus the league we competed in included last year’s international runner-up team,” said Lexie Bellamy, a sophomore in accounting and K-State at Salina SIFE chapter president. “Looking back, I think the last couple of times we’ve gone have been good because we’ve learned what to work on and where we needed to go as a group to do better.” The K-State at Salina chapter was formed approximately two years ago and is made up of students from all three of the Salina academic departments. The team was named Rookie Chapter of the Year at the regional competition in 2004.
