AMBASSADORS SELECTED FOR COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND AVIATION

SALINA - Five Kansas State University at Salina students were selected for the 2003-2004 class of ambassadors in the College of Technology and Aviation. The ambassadors program was recently begun on the Salina campus to support new student recruitment and public relations programs.

The five new members will join five returning ambassadors this fall to assist with a variety of projects, including giving campus tours for prospective students and other campus guests, assisting with special events on campus, providing leadership on student panels, greeting and visiting with dignitaries and VIPs, attending alumni events and helping to plan and implement Open House.

“ These responsibilities require the very best students on campus in order to best represent what K-State at Salina has to offer,” said Dean Dennis Kuhlman. “We are all pleased with the enthusiasm of these five outstanding students and proud that they have chosen such a meaningful way to support their college.”

The following students were selected for the 2003-2004 class of COTA Ambassadors:

Nicholas Colgrove, freshman in computer science technology and Web development technology, Washington, is the son of Dwight and Peggy Colgrove, Washington. He is a graduate of Washington High School.

Grant Franklin, sophomore in airway science - professional pilot option, Shawnee, is the son of T.R. Franklin and Tammie Barker, both of Shawnee. He is a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School

Josh Koch, freshman in mechanical engineering technology, Madison, is the son of Rodney Koch, Albany, Ore., and Nakita Elwood, Madison. He is a graduate of Madison High School.

Nancy Milleret, freshman in airway science - professional pilot option, Tonganoxie, is the daughter of Mark and Melinda Milleret, Tonganoxie. She is a graduate of Tonganoxie High School.

Jamie Ryan, junior in technology management, Salina, is the daughter of Francis and Mary Lynn Ryan, Salina. She is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School.
