K-STATE AT SALINA TO TAKE COLLEGE ON TOUR

If you see a really long, oddly-shaped trailer decorated with a Kansas State University PowerCat headed down the highway or notice one of K-State at Salina’s Cessna 172s landing at an airport near you, there is no cause for alarm. Come out and join the K-State at Salina Admissions team for fun, displays, and information!

K-State at Salina’s Showcase Tour schedule is as follows:
Horton, Kan., on Monday, Sept. 14, at Horton Municipal Airport, 10 a.m. to noon
Topeka, Kan., on Monday, Sept. 14, at Philip Billard Municipal Airport, 3-6 p.m.
Benton, Kan., on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Lloyd Stearman Field Airport, 3-6 p.m.
Beloit, Kan., on Monday, Sept. 21, at Moritz Memorial Airport, 3-6 p.m.
Scott City, Kan., on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Scott City Municipal Airport, 3-6 p.m.
Colby, Kan., on Thursday, Oct. 1, at Shalz Field Airport, 3-6 p.m.
Independence, Kan., on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Independence Municipal Airport, 2-6 p.m.

Displays will include a Cessna 172 G1000 aircraft, the Cat Cannon (used to launch t-shirts into the stands during various sporting events), and the Mini Baja Car. The festivities also include a demonstration of K-State at Salina's Unmanned Aerial Systems program. Admissions representatives, students, and instructors will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

K-State at Salina is the home of K-State’s College of Technology and Aviation and provides a well-rounded Big 12 university experience shared by 1,000 students in a high-tech campus environment. Another 2,000 students are served through advanced learning opportunities. K-State at Salina offers both bachelor’s and associate’s degrees. Degree programs include computer systems technology, construction engineering technology, electronic and computer engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, web development technology, professional pilot, aviation maintenance, family studies and human services, technology management, applied business, and applied technologies.
