FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS SELECTED FOR K-STATE AVIATION DEPARTMENT September 30, 2004 SALINA - Kansas State University at Salina has 12 new flight instructors for the 2004-2005 school year. The new instructors, along with current staff and faculty, are responsible for the training of incoming flight students in both ground and flight instruction. The new flight instructors were selected from a pool of applicants. To be considered for the job, applicants had to be Federal Aviation Administration certified flight instructors and had to have previously earned their certified flight instructor certificate. Applicants also were required to attend standardization training for two days, during which personal interviews were conducted. New K-State at Salina flight instructors are: Daniel Leebrick, senior in professional pilot, Atwood; Joshua Hill, May 2003 graduate in professional pilot, Emporia; Nancy Milleret, junior in professional pilot, Linwood; Clint Meyer, senior in profession pilot, Madison; Heath Larson, junior in professional pilot, Marquette; Westley Broxterman, senior in professional pilot, Sabetha. From Salina: Jesse Cooper, senior in professional pilot; Joey Hershbach senior in professional pilot. Evelyn Ross, junior in professional pilot, Winfield. From out-of-state: From Colorado—Jennifer Peasley, junior in professional pilot, Littleton. From Nebraska—Brian Schroeder, junior in professional pilot, Gretna.
