TRUNK-OR-TREAT TO PROVIDE SAFE, FUN HALLOWEEN FOR KIDS

SALINA – Parents can save the time and risk of going door-to-door with children on Halloween by taking part in Trunk-or-Treat, sponsored by students at Kansas State University at Salina. The event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31 in the parking lot for the Student Activity Center, located in the northwest part of campus. Trunk-or-Treat is free and open to the public.

“The idea is to provide a safe environment for children to come to campus and trick-or-treat from the trunks of cars or beds of pickups that are decorated for Halloween,” said Brendan Haiduk, president of the K-State at Salina student governing association, which is sponsoring the event in conjunction with the Women in Aviation student club.

The Trunk-or-Treat area can be reached via Tony’s Rd., across Centennial from Jumpin’ Joe’s. From Tony’s Rd., turn south on Scanlan. The Trunk-or-Treat area will be in the parking lot between the Science Center and the Student Activity Center, to the west of Scanlan.
