AMBASSADORS SELECTED FOR COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND AVIATION SALINA – Seven Kansas State University at Salina students were selected for the first-ever class of ambassadors in the College of Technology and Aviation. The ambassadors program is new to the Salina campus and was created to support new student recruitment and public relations programs. Ambassadors will assist with a variety of projects, including giving campus tours for prospective students and other campus guests, assisting with special events on campus, providing leadership on student panels for recruitment events, greeting and visiting with dignitaries and VIPs, attending alumni events and helping to plan and implement Open House. “ These responsibilities require the very best students on campus in order to best represent what K-State at Salina has to offer,” said Dean Dennis Kuhlman. “We are all pleased with the enthusiasm of these first Ambassadors and proud that they have chosen such a meaningful way to support their college.” The following students were selected for the first class of COTA Ambassadors: Jason Braun, sophomore in arts, science and business, Hays, is the son of James and Deborah Braun, Hays. Monica Chester, sophomore in airway science (professional pilot option), Glade, is the daughter of Rick and Robin Chester, Glade. Mike Higley, senior in technology management, Mayetta, is the son of Dean Higley, Everest, and Regina Goodman, Mayetta. Mitchell Ochs, sophomore in airway science (professional pilot option), Grainfield, is the son of Hank Ochs, Hill City, and Carlene Gillespie, Grainfield. Shawn Peterson, freshman in airway science (professional pilot option), Courtland, is the son of Brad and Dedra Peterson, Courtland. Robbie Sanders, junior in airway science (professional pilot option), Liberty, Mo., is the son of Robert and Anne Sanders, Liberty.
