BIOGRAPHICAL BRIEF
Dr. Hassan graduated from the University of Panjab College of Engineering,
Pakistan in 1954 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He earned M.S.
(1957) and Ph.D. (1966) degrees in in Mechanical Engineering from the University
of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, United Kingdom. He has
held numerous teaching and administrative positions in universities and
colleges in several countries, including Professor and Department Head
at three, Dr. Hassan possesses a global perspective on engineering (over
20 yrs) and technology education (over 20 yrs) as well as an understanding
of the American, British, and other 'hybrid' systems of higher education.
He also worked for over 4 years in a major oil company in the Middle East.
Dr. Hassan's early career research interests were in the field of incompressible
and compressible ducted flows as applied to fluidic system components.
During the last 10 years he has worked on integrating computer techniques
in all undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering technology education
at this college. He has been an active member of ASEE having presented
several papers at section and national levels. Dr. Hassan can be contacted
