About the general About the personal Certified family life |
ACADEMIC CURRICULUM Core Courses Students who choose family studies and human services must select an area of concentration from family studies and human services, American ethnic studies, leadership studies, political science, psychology, sociology, gerontology, or women's studies. Laboratory and field experiences, volunteering, community service and internships are considered essential to student success. Supervision by professors and community professionals enhances career development, as do seminars in which students discuss and evaluate their hands-on experiences. Collaboration with campus, community, regional, and national organizations in the fields of education, business and government makes these experiences possible.
