This full-time K-State Salina Fiscal Affairs position is responsible for all aspects of the campus accounting system and has oversight, advises, and provides guidance on university financial and grant accounting procedures. Position prepares all budget transfers for the College of Technology and Aviation and is responsible for Post Award services of grants. Position will work closely with the Director and Assistant Director to ensure financial stability for the campus.
Two years of experience in professional accounting/auditing work.
Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Five (5) years accounting experience according to GAAP; three (3) years fund accounting experience; working knowledge of Federal Regulations; two (2) years Sponsored Programs Accounting using Cost Accounting (grants). Knowledge using web based automatic tracking systems (e.g.: FIS, E-forms, General Ledger, CASHNET, PeopleSoft/HRIS); working knowledge of Excel and using purchasing regulations; excellent written communication skills; ability to interpret and analyze rules and regulations.
Salary: $18.26 per hour
