Certified Inspection Training Program
General CIT Program Information
Certified Inspection Training Program is held in the Civil Laboratory
on the campus of Kansas State University at Salina unless otherwise

FEES & REGISTRATION
registration fee as noted per class includes all program materials,
refreshment breaks, use of laboratory equipment during class, a parking
permit (which must be returned), and the manuals unless otherwise noted.
Registration fees are due with the registration
form no later than two weeks prior to the beginning of class. All
registrations are on a first come-first served basis.

will receive a confirmation letter by mail. The confirmation letter
will include a map, and other pertinent information.
will receive results of written examination directly from the American
Concrete Institute within two to four weeks after testing. In addition,
the KDOT Engineering Technician Training Coordinator will send KDOT
certification letters, cards, and certificates to qualified participants.
KDOT will also enter certification information for KDOT via CMS.
for all classes, except the Inspection Classes, will be mailed to
the student at least two weeks prior to the beginning of class. If
the student fails to bring the book that was mailed and KSU-Salina
provides them with another book the student will be charged the cost
of both books.
testing for the Certified Inspection Training Program is divided
into two sections: American Concrete Institute (ACI) tests and Kansas
Department of Transportation tests. In both cases, test results
can and will only be reported to the individual who took the test.
The CIT Program office will send a letter to the individual
if they took the KDOT test and ACI will send a letter to the individual
if they took the ACI test indicating their results. All test results
are reported to the KDOT Engineering Technician Training Coordinator.
It is the responsibility of the supervisor to check with the individual
regarding certification. In order for supervisors to receive certification
results a waiver signed by the individual certified must be on file
in the CIT office. The waiver form may be obtained by contacting
the CIT Program Office. The CIT office will not report test results
over the telephone.
full refund, less a $20.00 processing fee will be made if cancellation
is received by the Division of Continuing Education by 5:00 p.m. at
least two weeks prior to beginning of class. After that date, due
to guarantees we must give, refunds are not available. If the registration
fee is unpaid and the employee, consultant, or company fails to attend
class, the fee is considered due. Participants will not receive a KDOT
certification card until all accounts are paid in full. The coordinator
of the KDOT Certification Program will consider refunds for emergency
situations. If you must cancel your registration, do so as soon as possible.

Division of Continuing Education may cancel or postpone any course or
activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforseen circumstances.
If a program is canceled or postponed, the Division of Continuing Education
will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for other
costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed
by outside agencies.
an individual registers for a class and that class is full KSU-Salina
will notify the student by phone, fax or email. When notified
the student may ask to be placed on a waiting list for the next
available opening. A completed registration form must be sent
to the CIT Program Office indicating which class the student is
waiting to attend. The student must have completed all prerequisites
for any class before being placed on the waiting list.
State University is committed to making program activities accessible
to all participants. If you have special requirements due to disabilities
or dietary restrictions, indicate your needs on the registration form
or contact the Division of Continuing education at (785) 826-2633 at
least 3 weeks prior to the start of the program. After this date we
will make every effort to provide assistance, but cannot guarantee that
requested services will be available.
State University at Salina will offer a 25% registration discount on
any of the American Concrete Institute Certification classes: Concrete
Field Tester; Aggregate Field Tester; Aggregate Laboratory Technician;
and Concrete Strength Tester. In order to receive this discount ACI
certified AGF, AGL, CF, or CST technicians must serve as supplemental
examiners on two occasions. After serving twice, the technician's company
will be sent a 25% discount coupon to be used on one registration for
any of the ACI Certification courses. This discount does not apply to
the ACI Testing fee.
