Student

Undergraduate and graduate students of K-State at Salina pay campus privilege fees for the Recreation Center with their tuition.  This campus privilege fee is unique to Salina, and separate from Main Campus Recreational Services fee.  This fee gives them use of the Recreation Center facilities in Salina only at no additional charge by presenting their valid student ID card each time admitted.  Students must present their ID, or will not be admitted to the Recreation Center.

Faculty/Staff

Recreation Center memberships can be purchased by the day, month, or up to a year. A daily use pass is good for the day of purchase and is described in further detail below. Monthly membership will be good for one month from date of purchase. Yearly membership will be good for one year from date of purchase.  Faculty/staff with Recreation Center memberships will have full use of the Recreation Center facilities and can participate in intramural sports at Thaemert Field and the Gymnasium with a paid membership.

Prices are not subject to any adjustment due to any type of facility closings.
No refund or time extension will be given when you do not use the Recreation Center.

Alumni

Alumni Association members are reminded that the Recreation Center membership cannot be purchased beyond the expiration date shown on their Alumni Association card.

Facility use can be purchased by the day, month, or up to a year. A daily use pass is good for the day of purchase and is described in further detail below. Monthly membership will be good for one month from date of purchase. Yearly membership will be good for one year from date of purchase.  With a paid membership, alumni can participate in intramural sports held at the Gymnasium only.

Prices are not subject to any adjustment due to any type of facility closings.
No refund or time extension will be given when you do not use facilities.

Membership for Spouses or Dependents of Students/Faculty/Staff or Alumni

Membership can be sold to the spouse even if the ID holder does not wish to purchase a membership for him or herself, or currently is a student. Spouses must present the ID holder’s ID card if making the purchase themselves. When adding spouse and dependent children ages 14-23 to a faculty/staff membership, family members will receive a 25 percent discount as the second or more users.  If the faculty/staff member does not purchase a membership, the spouse and dependent child aged 14-23 will pay the full membership rate.  One parent must be included in the plan before any dependent children will be added. This means either the ID holder or spouse must have or purchase a membership for the Recreation Center before a dependent membership can be sold for the Recreation Center.

Public Use

All members of the public wishing to purchase a membership must affiliate with K-State at Salina through the Continuing Education Office by enrolling in the General Fitness Course.  The General Fitness Course is a 4 month continuous enrollment which offers a personalized fitness program included in the class fee, and other membership privileges.  The cost of this course is $80.  Please contact the Recreation Center office at 785-823-6594 to enroll.

Guests

Guests may purchase a daily use pass at the rate of $2 per day plus tax at the Recreation Center. Family members of students, faculty/staff, and general fitness members may also pay the guest rate. Daily pass users can host up to three guests at the daily guest fee rate.   Guest & host must sign the form.  Note: The guest pass fee will not be credited toward membership purchase/renewal and will not be refunded.  Guests are limited to purchasing 5 passes per semester.  Once guests have reached the 5 pass limit, they must purchase a membership or enroll in the General Fitness Course to continue using the Recreation Center.

Conferences

Those individuals and conference participants who possess a housing guest access card may gain admittance to Recreation Center by showing that card and paying the daily guest fee as described above.  Conference organizers may also be eligible for a group rate. Contact the Recreation Center office for more information.

Entitlements

Students, faculty/staff with paid memberships, and spouses of students/faculty staff with paid memberships are entitled to full use of the Recreation Center facilities, including the Gymnasium and Thaemert Field, and all Recreation Center-sponsored programs.

Purchase of a dependent membership, an alumni membership, daily pass or enrollment in the General Fitness Course entitles the member use of the Gymnasium including but not limited to the basketball court, racquetball/handball courts, weight room, cardiovascular and stretching rooms.  Members can also check-out or rent equipment with an ID.  It does not entitle the use of Thaemert field.

Refunds

Full refund will be granted if made within five business days of purchase, and the member has not used the Recreation Center during that time. No refund will be given for months when any part of that month has been used and no refund will be made for any amount under $15. Prices are not subject to any adjustment due to any type of Recreation Center closings. No refund or time extension will be given when you do not use the Recreation Center.

Renewal

Membership renewals can be made in person before 5 PM at the Recreation Center office.  With parental consent, dependents may renew family memberships; however, the initial transaction must be completed by a parent.

Membership Keytags

Membership keytags are permanent. Users are reminded to retain their membership keytags even if membership expires to avoid paying a replacement fee at time of renewal. Lost or stolen membership keytags will require paying a replacement fee. If your keytag is missing, check with the Recreation Center office to see if it has been turned in.

Note: Recreation Center privileges will be suspended in the event of misrepresentation.
