What to bring
As you prepare to start your on campus living experience here at K-State Salina, here are a few things you should know:
Items included in your room:
- Bed
- Dresser
- Wardrobe
- Desk w/ shelf
- Carpet
- Cable service
- Ethernet service
Two rooms are adjoined by a bathroom, which is shared by four people. The bathroom has a shower with a shower door no shower curtain is needed, and there is a sink in each room.
What to bring to your home away from home:
- Linens for your bed- sheets size should be extra long twin
- Pillows
- Bathroom supplies (towels, wash cloths, toilet paper etc....)
- Laundry bag / Laundry Soap
- Alarm Clock
- Desk Lamp
- Trash can / Bags
- Cup / Mug / Glass / Plate / Bowl / Silverware
Things not to bring:
- Weapons of any kind (including antiques or collector's items)
- Dart Boards
- Fireworks
- Waterbeds
- Incense
- Appliances with an open coil (toaster ovens, toasters, electric skillets, hot plates)
- Pets that do not live in an aquarium
Items you might want to bring:
- Pictures
- TV / DVD Player
- Microwave (no more then 800 watts)
- Refrigerator (no more the 5.0 cubic feet)
- Computer
- Coffee/tea maker
- Batteries
- Air Freshener
- Tool Kit
- Power strips / Surge protectors / Extension cords
- Extra long TV cable
- Ear Plugs
- First Aid kit
- Hangers
- Can Opener
- Dish Soap
- Fan
- Iron
- Full length mirror
- Social Security Card / Copy of Birth Certificate, Bank Account Information
- Anything that will make your home away from home comfortable
