Academic Advising
Each student at K-State is assigned an academic advisor. This could be either a professional advisor located in the Academic Advising Center or a faculty member in your department of study. Students with Manhattan majors will be assigned an advisor in their respective college. However, advisors in the Academic Advising Center can assist you with advising concerns and issues.
Establishing a strong working relationship with your academic advisor is one of the best things you can do to promote success in your university experience/education.
Your academic advisor can assist you with the following:
- Scheduling courses for the upcoming semester
- Developing an educational plan to achieve your goals
- Academic difficulties
- Major and career exploration
- Connecting you to campus resources
- Personal concerns
- Graduation plans
If you are ever unsure as to whom your advisor is, please contact the Academic Advising Center at 785-826-2608.
