Academic Services Coordinator
Emeryld Wills is the new Academic Services Coordinator for the Upward Bound Program at K-State Salina. She is a former UB Program participant and has been working as a mentor for the Summer Component for the past four years. She graduated from Lincoln High School and obtained an Associates degree from Cloud County Community College, then transferred to Bethany College where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is super excited to work with students and staff in her new position, as well as plan awesome events. In her spare time Emeryld enjoys spending time with her family, reading, singing, dancing, shopping, watching movies, and Pintresting!

Sarah Wendt has been with the Upward Bound program at K-State Salina for the past four years. Sarah serves as our Go-To Gal when it comes to all of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into making UB such a successful program. Sarah is passionate about the Upward Bound program and finds it gratifying to watch such a great group of high school students go on to fulfill their dreams and graduate from college. Sarah is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies and Human Services at K-State Salina. In her spare time Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, eating Mexican food, writing, shopping at hobby lobby, and watching a good movie now and then.

Academic English Tutor
As a former participant of the K-State Upward Bound Math/Science program, Darcy Leech is a welcome addition to the K-State Salina Upward Bound staff. Mrs. Leech is the English III and Advanced Placement Language and Composition teacher at Salina Central High School and provides beneficial literature and composition expertise as our UB English tutor. In her spare time, Darcy enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel, and their son, Eli.
